This video covers activities of the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam from 1965 through 1967. It is divided into two parts:

Part one (30 minutes) is narrated and includes the arrival of the brigade in Vietnam in 1965. C-130s bring elements of the brigade into Bien Hoa and other elements of the brigade are shown arriving by ship at Vung Tau. Scenes of the brigade's commanding officer, Gen. Ellis Williamson, talking to the troops.

Includes excellent combat footage, scenes of 173rd soldiers relaxing in camp, and good coverage of the brigade's gunship platoon, known as the "Cowboys." Also includes the arrival of Australian troops attached to the brigade, good artillery scenes, and details of the brigade's participation in Operation Junction City. This part of the video concludes with Gen. Westmoreland and the brigade at an awards ceremony.


Part two of this video is silent and includes combat scenes of the brigade's participation in Operation Big Spring in Feburary 1967, 14 miles north of Bien Hoa.
