Birds of Prey (Whistling Kites)

Whistling Kites come to be fed everyday at a suburban house in a tiny country town in North Queensland, Australia. These are diurnal raptors, found throughout Australia, with a range in size from 50 to 60 cms. Their plumage are a pale buff on the head, breast and tail, with browner wings and black flight feathers. It's name is for the loud whistling call, which it often gives in flight.
