The HAF is a branch of the Greek Military Forces.
It was established in 1911 as a part of a the army and became
separate in 1930. The first aircraft HAF has used was the French made "Farman".
HAF has engaged in many wars among them are the World War I and II, the Korean War
and the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
HAF is consisted of 33.000 personnel and 558 aircraft.

HAF curently uses 4 types of fighters :

F-16 Fighting Falcons - 130
Mirage 2000s - 44
F-4 Phantoms - 57 (Soon to be replaced by a 4gen fighter)
A-7 Corsairs - 45 (Soon to be replaced by a 4gen fighter)


HAFs leathal arsenal includes :

Storm Shadow (SCALP-EG) - Self guided, long range missile.
AIM-120C-5 AMRAAM - Medium Range Air-to-Air missile.
GBU-24 Paveway III - Laser guided bomb.
IRIS-T - Advanced off-boreseight dogfighting missile.
