European firms gunning for share of US war dollar

TURIN, ITALY -- In a large factory at the foot of the Alps, they are making wings for the Eurofighter, bolting together panels of carbon fibre for the supersonic air defence and interceptor jet, destined to be the top gun of the British, German, Italian and Spanish air forces. The workers in Turin are making the left wing and the rear end of the fuselage. In another plant in Spain the right wing is being constructed, and elsewhere in Germany and Britain other bits of the plane and its electronic gadgetry are being manufactured.continue..
