Stanley Awarded $63 Million Prime Contract Extension for JSF Program

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stanley, Inc. (NYSE: SXE), a leading provider of systems integration and professional services to the U.S. federal government, today announced that it has been awarded a $63 million prime contract by the
Joint Strike Fighter Program Office (JSFPO) to continue providing end-to-end information technology and information assurance support.
The JSFPO advances warfighting capabilities for the Department of Defense (DoD), providing the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and other allies with next-generation strike aircraft weapon systems. The contract award came in the company's second quarter of Fiscal Year 2007, ended September 30, 2006.
The award, opened to re-competition three times, further expands Stanley's existing 10-year relationship with the JSFPO, which began when Stanley was selected to establish its initial IT infrastructure. Stanley's follow-on contract with four option years extends through 2010 and provides various professional, technical, and administrative support services, including personnel, equipment, and materiel necessary for the efficient operation of JSFPO information systems. The contract encompasses JSFPO facilities nationwide, including Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., and Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Maryland.

Under the new contract terms, Stanley will plan, manage, and implement telecommunications and IT requirements to provide information assurance and network support to the JSFPO's geographically dispersed personnel and facility locations. The contract team will provide information systems engineering, fixed asset management, documentation and training, systems operations, network operations and management, helpdesk support, critical infrastructure protection, and software development. In addition, Stanley will monitor all data exchange and storage, maintain the organization's intranet and extranet environments, and investigate all IT systems for compliance with DoD standards and regulations.
