Nostromo Defensa puts first South American UAV into series production

Cordoba, Argentina - Nostromo Defensa S.A of Argentina is pleased to report that the first UAV produced in series in South America was displayed at the Air Show of the Fuerza Aerea Argentina, the next 10th of August.

The Yarara UAV is a small UAV for ISR and UAV training missions carrying EO sensors and with fully autonomous capability using GPS /INS avionics.

It has a payload capability of 5 Kg and an endurance of 4 hours.

The Yarara has the wingspan of 4 meters and 5.5 Hp gas engine. The airframe is all composite and an innovative power unit fully removable allows reaching a high sustainment the UAV availability to accomplish operational missions.

The ground control station allows to command the UAV in RPV mode or in autonomous mode and also to receive video stream in real time from a two EO sensors, one fixed and the other in a steerable payload unit.

The Yarara UAV is being produced in small series for export and has become the first UAV produced and exported in South America

Nostromo Defensa has been developing UAV and Aerial targets in South America since the year 2000.
