Predator spy plane crashes at Nellis range

An unmanned, remotely piloted Predator spy plane crashed Thursday at Nellis Air Force Range during a training mission, Nellis officials said.The MQ-1 Predator was carrying a dummy, Hellfire missile when it crashed on the range at 1:15 p.m., said Capt. Dan DuBois, a Nellis Air Force Base spokesman.
He said the plane was being operated from a ground-control station by the 11th Reconnaissance Squadron at Creech Air Force Base at Indian Springs, 45 miles northwest of Las Vegas.continue..
