STOCKHOLM (MarketWatch) -- The Norwegian Ministry of Defense on Friday denied it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Lockheed Martin Corp.'s (LMT) F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

Swedish newspaper Dagens Industri earlier Friday reported Norway had signed a letter of intent to buy the Joint Strike Fighter. The newspaper cited a Pentagon spokeswoman, Kathy Crawford, as the source of its report.

But a spokesman for the Norwegian Ministry of Defense told Dow Jones Newswires that Norway definitely hasn't made up its mind which fighter aircraft to buy. Such a decision was still some way off, the spokeswoman added.
