Gripen for Dubai 2005 - latest generation Gripens to make first public debut

The well-known Swedish fighter jet Gripen will make its first public appearance in the Middle East at next month's Dubai air show.

And to further highlight the important of this year's show - Dubai 2005, the ninth international aerospace exhibition - the Gripen version that will grace the skies over Dubai in the daily flying display will be the very latest model of this first new-generation fighter to enter service.

News of Gripen's entry into the Middle East came at a press briefing in Dubai today staged by the Swedish company Saab AB, the major defence company in northern Europe, and Gripen International the business unit within Saab responsible for marketing, selling and supporting the Gripen fighter worldwide.continue..
