Greece To Buy 30 F-16 Fighter Jets From U.S.

Greece has decided to buy 30 F-16 fighter jets from the United States after scrapping a 4.9 billion euro deal with EADS for 60 Eurofighter planes last year, the country's defense ministry said on July 19.

Greece's centre-right government, which gained power in March 2004, had said late last year that it was not bound by the decision of the former socialist government to favor a purchase of Eurofighter jets.continue..
