When talking about luring a $40 million to $50 million warbird to a community for military training or for potential combat uses, the economic benefits are hard to quantify, but one thing is certain - it would generate a lot of money.

That's why the competition to be the home of the new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter will likely be aggressive and fierce.
