Lockheed Martin Corp., Grand Prairie, Texas, is being awarded a $7,842,633 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification.
This action provides for the Predator Imaging Laser Radar program, which demonstrates a 3-dimensional imaging laser radar sensor suitable for installation on an unmanned air vehicle (UAV) such as a Predator.
The program demonstrates that such a sensor can be produced in a size and weight that is compatible with a UAV while maintaining sensor performance that meets mission requirements.
At this time, $555,954 has been obligated. This work will be complete by May 2009. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33615-01-C-1419/P00010).
