Boeing delivers its 122nd C-17 to Air Force

Boeing Co. in Long Beach last week delivered its latest C-17 Globemaster III military transport plane to personnel from McChord Air Force Base in Washington state.

The delivery is the 122nd C-17 Boeing has assembled and delivered from Long Beach to the U.S. Air Force and it is the first operational C-17 of the 2002 C-17 multi-year procurement contract worth $9.7 billion.
