Italian Predator Crashes in Iraq
An Italian Air Force Predator aircraft that crashed in southern Iraq is undergoing repairs, an Air Force official said.

The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was on surveillance patrol on May 15 when it crashed after an engine malfunction, the Air Force said in a statement.

When the engine cut out, the power generator also failed, at which point the Predator RQ-1B was 70 nautical miles from its base at Tallil airport, inside the Italian-patrolled Dhi Qar zone.
