Gripen pushing hard for Danish sale
COPENHAGEN, Denmark, May 17 (UPI) -- Anglo-Swedish jet fighter company Saab-BAe Gripen AB is pushing hard to replace Denmark's aging fleet of F-16 military aircraft.

Denmark's air force will replace, by 2016, its 60 F16s with either the Gripen, the Eurofighter or Lockheed-Martin's Joint Strike Fighter.

Gripen International told Copenhagen officials Tuesday that it will match in domestic investment rebates whatever the nation spends buying its new fighter, the Jas 39, said The Local, an English-language newspaper in Stockholm.
