Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Integrated Systems Western Region, El Segundo, Calif., was awarded on March 16, 2006, a $3,800,325 increment of a $10,295,593 other transaction for
prototypes agreement to develop a conceptual and preliminary design of
an experimental aircraft to demonstrate the feasibility of a supersonic, tailless, oblique flying wing aircraft.
Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif. and will be completed in November 2007. Funds will not expire at the end of this fiscal year. A Federal Business Opportunities solicitation was issued on Aug. 19, 2005, and 3 proposals were received. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the contracting activity (HR0011-06-9-0005).
