EADS in Talks With Chile About A400M Transport-Plane Order

Feb. 13 (Bloomberg) -- EADS Co.'s Airbus Military Co. affiliate, which is building the planned A400M military transport plane, expects Chile's government to place the third export order for the aircraft soon.
``The Chileans declared an intent to order up to three airplanes,'' Airbus Military Chief Executive Officer Richard Thompson said today in an interview in Berlin. ``Certainly before the middle of the year, one would hope to have achieved something concrete with Chile.''
Airbus Military is also in negotiations to sell five to six planes each to Sweden and Norway, as well as eight to 10 aircraft to Australia, Thompson said.
