LONDON (AFX) - Fresh doubts have emerged over Britain's biggest private finance initiative, the 13 bln stg deal to supply military refuelling aircraft, after executives working on the project warned that it could face further delays, the Financial Times reported citing industry insiders.
The programme, which is led by EADS, the Franco-German group, and is viewed by some European governments as a possible model for future defence procurement, is being held up by its scale and complexity.
One industry insider said participants in the 'Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft' programme, expected to sustain about 7,500 jobs once signed, were suffering from 'deal fatigue'.
