Pratt & Whitney Begins Assembly of First Flight Test F135 Engine for the F-35 JSF IDDLETOWN, Conn., Aug. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pratt & Whitney has begun assembly of the first flight test F135 engine for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF). The F135 will be the exclusive power for the JSF's first flights starting next year.

Japan plans test of 'new Concorde' TOKYO, Japan (AP) -- Japan's space agency plans to launch an arrow-shaped airplane at twice the speed of sound high over the Australian outback as early as next month in a crucial test of the country's push to develop a supersonic successor to the retired Concorde.
