Valparaiso sues Air Force over F-35's at Eglin AFB

VALPARAISO - After filing a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit last fall, city officials promised to fight any Air Force decision that would use Eglin's existing runway 1-9 for its soon-to-arrive F-35s.
That promise came to fruition Monday when Valparaiso officially filed its second BRAC-related lawsuit against the Air Force in U.S. District Court.
Meanwhile, Bay County commissioners have sent a letter to Air Force Secretary Michael Donley offering to locate the F-35s near Panama City.
