Eurofighter Suspends Participation in Danish, Norwegian Contests

Aviation Week reports the Eurofighter consortium has halted its effords to try to sell the Eurofighter Typhoon to Denmark and Norway.

According to the report the decision was made because of changes made to the procurement process in terms of timing and structure. An official Danish comment on this development is not expected until tomorrow, Dec 21, according to DefenseNews.com.

The F-35 Lightning II and JAS-39 Gripen-D remain as contenders in both programs. As many as 50 aircaft are expected to be ordered by each nation.
