BAE Herti UAV may be used by police

FYLDE aerospace giant BAE is in talks with the boys in blue about its pilotless plane.
The team behind the once-secret Herti Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is speaking to several police forces across the country about possible civilian uses.

Herti has already been tested in military scenarios but BAE bosses are confident the technology is there to be used for protecting the public.

Directors stressed talks were at "a very early stage" and it could be "several years" until Hertis are seen patrolling the UK skies.
