Work ramps up on F-35

Lockheed Martin Corp.'s Orlando operations and vendors are revving up their work on a lucrative training contract involving the military's next-generation stealth fighter jet, the company said Monday.Lockheed's training division now has hundreds of high-tech jobs in Orlando tied to the <a href="/page/48/F-35-Lightning-II.html">F-35 Joint Strike Fighter</a>, and an additional 100 positions could be added during the next couple of years, officials said.
Lockheed and its team are providing flight and maintenance training simulators, logistics expertise and support equipment for the advanced aircraft. The training-systems deal will be worth hundreds of millions of dollars more once it goes into full production.continue..
