Stockholm - Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek stressed during his visit to Sweden that he cannot and must not influence the investigation into alleged corruption accompanying the lease of Swedish-made Jas-39 Gripen fighters by the Czech military, but he wishes that the police check all suspicions in this case thoroughly.

"I have no right to interfere in it, I can neither slow it down nor speed it up," Topolanek told reporters after a meeting with his Swedish counterpart PM Fredrik Reinfeldt.

He added he had no idea about the investigation's progress as it is in competence of the law enforcement bodies and the Interior Minister's Inspection.
