BALTIMORE, Oct. 18, 2006 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Air Force to provide radar system spares in support of the ongoing B-1 bomber sustainment effort.

The B-1 aircraft provides a unique long range strike capability with a large and varied payload. The value of the spares contract is $18.9 million. The work will be performed at the company's Baltimore facility.

"This contract continues our 20 year partnership with the Air Force to assure continued support of the B-1 radar sustainment efforts," said John Johnson, vice president and general manager of Northrop Grumman's Aerospace Systems Division.
