Strike Eagles fly dawn patrol

The roar of 50,000lbs of thrust greets the new day at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, Aug. 27. A flight of F-15E Strike Eagles known as the dawn patrol flew above the painted mountains, protecting coalition forces in their ever-vigilant close-air support mission.
