An A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot fires the aircraft's 30mm Gatling gun May 29 during an exercise over the Pacific Alaska Range Complex in Alaska. The seven-barrel weapon can fire 3,900 rounds a minute. The fighter is assigned to the 355th Fighter Squadron from Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska.
