Fully modernized C-5 “M” Super Galaxy aircraft, like the one shown during a test flight, will save the U.S. government $50 billion in operational and support costs through 2040. This national strategic airlift resource, with new General Electric CF6 engines and modern avionics, provides longer ranges and improved cargo carrying capacity.
