SEA OF JAPAN (March 22, 2007) - Aviation boatswain's mates prepare to launch an AV-8B harrier, assigned to Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 214, during night operations on board amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). The Reception, Staging, Onward movement and Integration (RSOI) and Foal Eagle 2007 are annual combined joint exercises involving forces from the United States and the Republic of Korea to improve combat readiness through joint interoperability.
