The Eurofighter is a highly maneuverable multirole fighter currently being developed by a four nation consortium consisting of Great Britain, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
The EFA program began in 1983r when France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK agreed to develop a common air superiority fighter for the 21st century.
