The Eurofighter is a highly maneuverable multirole fighter currently being developed by a four nation consortium consisting of Great Britain, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
The EFA program began in 1983r when France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK agreed to develop a common air superiority fighter for the 21st century. France eventually pulled out of the program, as Germany almost did in 1992. The result of this effort is the Typhoon built by British Aerospace, DASA, CASA, and Alenia.
